Mind-bogglingly prolific Greek soul man MSDOS follows up his “Best Of” on Soul Deep earlier this month with two fresh originals. “Sunset” lives up to its name with a delicate piano hook that ripples back and forth in a way that’s more common in housier circles but works so well in drum & bass when rolled out in this way. “Retrospective” looks in the rave rear-view mirror to pay respect to a whole range of foundation influences – not just big piano-licking hardcore but jazz, funk and soul, too.
