Soul Deep Artist Profile Questions

Soul Deep Exclusives is proud to announce the upcoming Greekboy – Electronic Heaven LP. We’ve asked Andreas to answer a few questions about his inspiration for the album.

Hello, how are you?

I’m fine, thanks. I have to say that I’m very happy about the opportunity to release an Artist Spotlight album on Soul Deep. It’s a very big honor!

This new album on Soul Deep is very deep. What inspired you to take your music to new depths?

As you well noticed Scott some of my tunes are deep. I generally love that kind of style and mainly my tunes have that ambient, atmospheric sound. My inspiration it comes mainly from all of my tunes. I can’t choose because every tune has different meaning and emotions. But if i can pick one is the tune ‘ Electronic Heaven ‘ my first tune of the Lp .

Do you have a favorite song from the album?

It’s a hard choice, because every tune has different meaning and brings different emotions. But if i can pick one it’s the tune, “Electronic Heaven”, the title track of the LP.

What do you have coming up for you and your music releases?

Thank u for that question. I have something special for the next year , a new Lp of mine from Liquid Drops , Msdos’s label . It will be only as a CD more info will be available very soon. Second, an EP from Cadence with some remixes inside from top names. Also, a big collaboration tune with a big legend from the scene, Pariah. I will also have Two tunes included in Smooth N Groove – Hidden In the Crates compilation album. Also, some of my tunes will be included in a charity compilation album. Lastly, I will be featured on a lot of collabs with A.K.A, Okee, Msdos, Muwookie, Sonic Art and one remix of my tune with A.K.A from Madcap that will be from In-Reach Records.
You seem to be writing a lot of great music. Here’s the age old question… What’s the trick to following through on every tune and finishing them?
Mainly, the purpose is for every tune that I make is to bring out feelings, good feelings, to me and everyone that listen to them.

What’s your favorite gear to use at the moment?

From the beginning I’ve always produced music using Ableton Live. It’s a great program and has lot of features that help me be creative. I use a lot of VST’s to help come up with uniques sounds. Lately, I’ve been using Captain Chords, M1, Zeta 3, and Padshop.

What’s been your favorite memory so far as a deejay/producer?

I have a lot of great memories, but a very recent and beautiful memory was when we found ourselves together in England for the gig Soul Deep Vs Smooth N Groove. It was my first appearance with my brother, great friend, and co-producer A.K.A. Those that were there will all agree, it was an awesome night, full of great vibes, excellent music, and good friends. Of course, I will never forget the love that I got from the people at the event. I really appreciated their enthusiasm, kind words, hospitality, and support.

I remember hearing that you’re a Volleyball coach, tell us more about that…

Volleyball is a big part of my life. For 25 years I played on a variety of teams. For the past 15 years i’ve been coaching little kids, which is something that is near and dear to my heart.

Do you have any words of advice to any young aspiring Deejays out there?

There is no specific recipe to writing music. It all comes down to how much you want it, and how much you love what u do. It also comes down to how hard you’re willing to work for what you love. My advice is to put everything you have into your production, and follow your passion in life.

Who would you like to shout out?

I have so many and I don’t want to forget anyone. If i do, punish me later, hahaha. So i’d to give shouts without particular order: A.K.A, Msdos, Payback, Smooth N Groove ( Chris and Tyler ) , Muwookie, Sid from Odyssey, Will Nitro from Different Drumz, James from Rolling Beat, Katie and Genesis X-Cert, Nick from In-Reach, Jamie Conspire, Dbase, Lady Emz, Steve Law, Jeremie from Exiled, Setitoff, Soul Connection, Innaself, Ldouble, Simpa, Pariah, Stunna, Antony G, Sonic Art, Lo contakt, my friends here in Athens, to my fans global and many many more. Big love to my lovely wife, I owe a lot of my happiness to her. And last but not least, to Scott Allen for believing in me and for the love that you gave to me when I first was breaking into the D&B scene.
