Furney returns to Soul Deep, unleashing 15 fresh Liquid masterpieces. Fresh off his latest Artist Spotlight Series album, the British producer continues to keep pushing his sample based Liquid music to new heights. His sound and style is uniquely crafted, and is almost always immediately recognizable to the trained ear. His ability to mold his signature moody samples, blended with original rhodes keys, big basslines, and epic vocals, is second to none in the production game. The Night Life LP gives Furney the platform to further show off his immense talent for the world to appreciate. The album kicks off with the dancefloor roller, and Amen based, “West Central Street”. The song fuses beautiful Rhodes keys, pulsating lead sounds, and spacey fx, all backed by the aforementioned Amen drum sample. Another song that stand out on the album, “Alone”, blends deep synth pads, with chirping Rhodes keys, snappy drums, a rolling bassline, and epic vocals. The album takes on a deeper mood with the title track, “Night Life”, which features atmospheric strings, sultry Rhodes keys, stripped down drums, and haunting vocals. Whether it’s deep and atmospheric, or a peak time Liquid floor filler, Furney has the ability to craft his tunes to fit any environment or mood. This LP is further proof why he is considered a “Don” in the Drum & Bass scene. Soul Deep is honored to have someone of his ability as one of the major contributors to the label.
