Longstanding Soul Deep crew member, Aussie soulstepper Severity belies his bleak artist name with this show-stopping vibe tryptic. Laced with dreamy atmospheres and evocative chords and textures throughout, we treated to a rainbow of positive moods: the daydream hurricane and loopy filtered hypnotic vocal of “Loveint”, the surging, spine-melting vocal and LSB-style rising stepper groove of the title track and the grand finale “Like Dat”, a track that bids us adieu with a star-gazing groove, soft-but-soaring synths and an alluring spoken word.
