Soul Deep Digital & Colossus are proud to announce the release of the ‘Wake Up (When It Comes) EP’, which is now available in all major digital stores and streaming sites. Colossus returns to Soul Deep with a classy new four-track offering.

The Manchester-based producer has been turning heads the last few years with releases on Hospital, Galaxy, Bay 6, and Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism. Well known for his beautiful Liquid Compositions, Colossus, flashes his undeniable production prowess to mix his signature lush pads, tight beat production, clean sub baselines, and tasteful vocal selections.

The EP kicks off with the title track, “Wake Up (When It Comes),” which is highlighted by epic strings, soulful piano chords, pristine drums, and a warm sub bassline that rolls along perfectly under the intoxicating melody. To top it off, the song is graced by talented vocalist, Jess Ratcliffe, whose effortless vocal stylings pierce straight into the souls of the listeners.

“Sonder,” is up next and features rollin’ drums, a bouncy bassline perfectly pitched vocals samples and a growling mid bassline that adds a bit of an edge to the mix. “Houdini,” keeps things going with its chirping keys, lush vocals, warped pads, and smooth sub bassline.

“Repent,” wraps things up in style with its 1/2 time breakdowns, pitched-down vocal samples, echoing piano chords, shuffling break pattern, and fluttering lead sound that weaves it’s a way through the stellar instrumental composition.

Overall, Colossus has created a Liquid masterpiece which oozes class and sophistication. If you’re a fan of smooth Liquid Drum & Bass then this release will need to be represented in your collection!
